Bald Eagle
Majestic birds, and we have a lot in our area. Sometimes they swoop so low over the yard, I worry about our cat. Earlier this year an eagle swooped up a mongrel toy poodle in Sechelt, but luckily dropped it on the grounds of a nursing home. The puppy is fine now, and has a new home. They call her 'Miracle May". Gibsons Happy Hour
I had a lot of fun with this. It's such a happy, cheerful painting. I love to paint something that makes people happy. SOLD

What A Rush
I was really excited to find this creek not too far from home. I took a ton of pictures, and hope to paint a couple of large pieces from the photos.

Garden Delights
Another painting of my favourite flowers - roses. Amazing how something so pretty can actually be quite vicious. I had a neighbour once who said she would take clippers and cut every single thorn from her rose bushes. I can't imagine how long that would have taken her. Think I'd rather take my chances with the thorns!

Hillside Colour
Here is another in a little series of local scenes. Well, I may have taken artistic license with all of them :} SOLD

Above The Clouds
This is the last of the small paintings for our Christmas Show. Might just switch to something floral for a change.

Timberline
You've got to love British Columbia. You've got your mountains, ocean, hillsides and streams. And today we've got glorious sunshine!

Evening Show
Here is another little painting for our Christmas Show. My camera just isn't picking up all the subtle colours in the Northern lights, or in the trees. I'll have to find a better place to take my photos. SOLD

Last Call
Here's another little local scene. These are rather fun to paint. A dear friend gave me a Tom Thomson book for my birthday. He's my absolute favourite from the Group of Seven. Very inspiring. SOLD

Frosty Morning
I'm switching to some fun, 8x8" landscapes. We have a Christmas Show at the gallery in a couple of weeks. Hard to think about Christmas when I'm still picking dahlias outside. But, it definitely is on its way.

Beach Access
This is a lovely, old gnarled cedar in Roberts Creek. You can access the beach, but you have to fight your way through brambles, roots and branches. I've painted this previously in a larger format, but have always wanted to paint it again. SOLD

Don't Eat The Daisies
Daisies are such carefree flowers. I've got scads in the yard because they seem to pop up everywhere.

Halfmoon Bay Low Tide
Spent a lovely afternoon at Halfmoon Bay, and took a lot of pictures. The tide was really low so I was able to walk out some distance on the sand and take some great shots. SOLD

Summertime
I love roses and have many in my garden. I also have endless scratches on my arms and legs from the roses I love. They can be very unforgiving.

Summertime Blues
I was invited to take photos of this sun deck and yard in Lower Gibsons. It was a cool place on a hot summer day. SOLD
